We are building 800 new student homes at Lappkärrsberget
Stockholm is growing and we at Stockholms studentbostäder is part of it.
We are building 800 new student accommodations at Campus Lappis, of which 297 in stage 1 were moved into during 2020-2021. We are now working on stage 2, which is 188 new homes that are expected to be ready by the autumn of 2023.
With 2,200 corridor rooms and apartments, Campus Lappis at Stora Lappkärrsberget is our largest and best-known residential area. The new Campus Lappis involves construction of 800 apartments in two phases. When the project is completed, there will be a total of 3,000 student accommodations at Campus Lappis.
Building the future through attractive homes for students!
Moving in for the next stage is planned for the autumn of 2023 so you will be able to start booking these in the summer of 2023.
There will be 183 of 1 room & kitchen and 5 of 2 rooms & kitchen.
We can’t say exactly, but generally speaking there is a waiting period of around one year for a corridor room, and around two years for an apartment.
More information coming soon.
Our aim is for construction of the new buildings to be certified in accordance with the Swedish Green Building Council Miljöbyggnad Silver requirements, which sets higher standards than those required by law. Among other measures, this involves consuming much less energy than is necessary during construction. Miljöbyggnad is an environmental classification system for the construction and property sector which, unlike the Swan Ecolabel, for example, includes post-construction inspections in order to ensure the buildings satisfy requirements when they are put into service.
During construction, there are 15 indicators to be reviewed throughout the project, from programming to certification. Some of these are below:
Phase two, with occupancy scheduled during 2023, is 182 accommodations. There will be 800 accommodations in total.
Lappkärrsberget is our largest campus. It is situated right next to Stockholm University, and is also relatively close to KTH. There is a total of 2,200 accommodations on Campus Lappis, providing excellent opportunities to establish new contacts with other students and pursue an active student life. Nya Lappis is located beside the Royal National City Park, which is home to pleasant green space and woodland featuring running tracks and nature trails. The buildings are not far from the water, and the delightful waterfront known locally as “Lappis Beach”.
Campus Lappis is a vibrant district in its own right, with grocery stores, restaurants and a nursery. There are also communal premises on site, with a sauna and an exercise and common room. The area associations are responsible for these premises.
They have a kitchen containing a fridge, freezer, stove and oven, and every new apartment has its own bathroom and shower.
All apartments are of about the same standard as the rest of our portfolio, with the difference that they are brand new. We are building separate apartments, which means all units have their own kitchen and bathroom. That is to say, there are no apartments or rooms with communal kitchens or shared bathrooms.
Bus route 50 goes to Lappkärrsberget, continuing all the way to Nya Lappis. You can also take red line 14 on the Stockholm Underground to Universitetet, which is around 600 metres’ walking-distance from the Lappis complex. There is also a stop on the Roslagsbanan rail link, at the University.
We are building around 800 units in total, which means construction and development work in the area will continue over the next few years. We are always striving to be as discreet as possible during construction in order to minimise disturbance to residents in the area.
Yes, there will be a ban on smoking in all common areas as well as in all homes.
